my story

You might have landed on this site by chance.
Let me share with you something about myself. I am having a day job but I was never satisfied with my day job because I was not able to utilize my full potential. I always thought and believed that I could do more than what I have always been offered to do.
Till the age of forty years, while keeping my day job I tried many different ventures and business with a view to get some extra income or replace my day job with some more lucrative business, where I could get work satisfaction. But this work satisfaction remained an illusion for me.
I have never ever in my wildest dream thought of being a writer. This blog I have started solely for the purpose of knowing how these blogs work. How can one start blogging? I started this blog in the year 2014.
There are some thirty posts on this site. All these blogs are related with self-help. I selected the topics because I have been an avid reader of self-help books. I tried to implement these teachings in my own life but could not achieve much, because I could not find my true calling.
But off late I gave a serious thought of writing. As I mentioned earlier that I tried different ventures, now, when I think of writing and see myself as a successful writer. The thought itself gives me goose bumps. I think, probably, I got my calling.  Probably, because I do not know how long I will do it. This is what, right now, I love doing. I have been enjoying writing. I write for my satisfaction. If I ever got success in writing it will be a miracle for me. But I want to follow every step to be a successful writer. There are many definitions of success. The best one I found was-it is progressive realization of your dreams.
Now, I think, it’s time for me to set a goal. I will consider myself a successful writer if get a subscriber base of more than a million. You might be thinking that this is an unrealistic goal. But I am convinced and believe that every goal is achievable and every dream can be true, if you give sufficient time to it.
I know one day people will tell me I am talented. But I know to be talented I have to work tirelessly day in and day out. I ask this question to me “Am I ready to work hard?” my answer is yes.
I have decided to be a successful writer. And I know once a decision is taken about the destination, rest is journey and it is up to me whether I want to make this journey serious or joyful.
I am ready to make a sincere effort. If you have also find your destination, let us help each other, I give this call to any person from anywhere in the world.
Presently, I am at level zero. I need to build it from scratch. You can also do it, if you believe it. If you want to witness a journey of an ordinary person of his extra ordinary achievement, keep visiting ‘growwithkumar’. I am kumar, I have been growing I welcome you all to grow with me and make effort to make your dream a reality.
Thank you
Kumar

Have Single-Minded devotion To Your Goal

To succeed in your mission, you must have single-minded devotion to your goals.                                                                                                A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
Once you are clear about your dream, you can make it your goal.
How can you make your dream your goal?
When it comes to goal setting, it should be divided into short term goals and long term goals. There is no such categorization which goals can be short term goals and which can be long term goals. You can keep those goals under short term which can be achieved in one year. Long term goals are your dreams. The goals that you want to achieve 2 years down the line or 5 years, 10 years or 20 years down the line. Goals like owning a beautiful house with beautiful garden having swimming pool, at calm or serene place, plenty of space to play with children and spouse, owning fleet of luxurious cars, owning stud farms, exotic vacation, optimum health, financial freedom, time to pursue recreation activiti…

Be aware of your dreams and Goals

Hi, my name is Kumar. I am working on a mission to help people realize their true potential and live their dream life. Yesterday, I was with a group of 5 young executives, who was working for the last 5 years in one of the reputed banks of this country. I asked them, “Do you know what the difference between dreams and goals is?” Surprisingly, they answered in negative. They are among the top 10 per cent of the population when it comes to earning. I know they are hardworking and bright and in a couple of years, they will be handling important assignments like in-charge of the branch. So, I was expecting them to know regarding dreams and goals. But when they could not answer, I remember what Brain Tracy once said, “Most people fail to set goals, because they do not know.” Today we are living beyond the information age where we are bombarded with information. So, it is easier to access this kind of information. Probably, the flip side of it is it has made these things complicated. However…

Take action for your dream

There are several traits which take to be successful in life. You need to have dreams and goals. You need to have a plan to achieve those goals. There are people who have a positive attitude, positive thinking, a burning desire, clarity of goals, and the entire essential ingredients required to be successful in life. However, they are not where they want to be and doing what they should be doing.  Then what is that mission link? The missing link is the effort. The effort made on a consistent basis.
Jim Rohn, a famous motivation speaker and author, says “Affirmation without discipline is an illusion.”
If you have everything but you do not have self-discipline, your dreams and goals will go away from you. This lack of action will not produce the desired result, resulting in discouragement and depletion of self-confidence.
