Without failure there is no success

Without failure there is no achievement   -   John C Maxwell

“Do you know what is opposite of success?”

Since our childhood it is told to us that opposite of success is failure. But this is absurd. Success is being what you want to be, doing what you want to do and achieving what you want to achieve.

When you start making effort to get success you will encounter many setbacks in the process. Failure is one of them. You will get failures on the way. To get success you need to have value addition in yourself. This value addition is more in adverse situation, in fact, failure teaches more than success.

Failure cannot be lasting till you are making effort to achieve success. Failure makes you stronger, it makes you more responsible, and it also gives you strength to take greater responsibility. It provides necessary knowledge and skill required to peruse your dreams and get success.

You read any success stories and failure is part of the success story. Every success story is also a story of series of failures. Because the road one travel to become successful goes through the darkest jungle of failures.

You show me a person who has not failed and I will show you a failed man. Men are made to realize their full potential and without taking risk and without failing, no man can realize their full potential. Successes lie in effort, when you take effort, you are bound to fail.

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan is a classic example of success and failure.  When he came to Mumbai to begin career as an actor, no director was ready to give him work, it took him almost nine failed film to give one blockbuster Zanzeer. After that he gave many blockbusters but this does not mean there was no failure, as his acting career progressed, there were many films which could not done do well. When he was at the top of his acting career, he started his production house, Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited (ABCL), but here his downfall started, it was so big that He became bankrupt. But he did not give up and continued to fight. It was at this crucial juncture when he got KBC series. His rise started again with stronger note. Gradually, he was gain at the top of his success. Take out of this story is to make continuous effort, temporary setbacks and defeats is part of success process and it is up to us we want to finish the game or we want to make the failure final.

Failure can never be final till you are in the game. The game is not finished till you achieve success.

Let me share you my story, when I was participating in my first 10k race. I could not run continuously for 10k I had to walk. But I knew this was a temporary failure. And my success journey is to complete full marathon. I have been working towards it and I am growing.

Are you?

Have Single-Minded devotion To Your Goal

To succeed in your mission, you must have single-minded devotion to your goals.                                                                                                A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
Once you are clear about your dream, you can make it your goal.
How can you make your dream your goal?
When it comes to goal setting, it should be divided into short term goals and long term goals. There is no such categorization which goals can be short term goals and which can be long term goals. You can keep those goals under short term which can be achieved in one year. Long term goals are your dreams. The goals that you want to achieve 2 years down the line or 5 years, 10 years or 20 years down the line. Goals like owning a beautiful house with beautiful garden having swimming pool, at calm or serene place, plenty of space to play with children and spouse, owning fleet of luxurious cars, owning stud farms, exotic vacation, optimum health, financial freedom, time to pursue recreation activiti…

Be aware of your dreams and Goals

Hi, my name is Kumar. I am working on a mission to help people realize their true potential and live their dream life. Yesterday, I was with a group of 5 young executives, who was working for the last 5 years in one of the reputed banks of this country. I asked them, “Do you know what the difference between dreams and goals is?” Surprisingly, they answered in negative. They are among the top 10 per cent of the population when it comes to earning. I know they are hardworking and bright and in a couple of years, they will be handling important assignments like in-charge of the branch. So, I was expecting them to know regarding dreams and goals. But when they could not answer, I remember what Brain Tracy once said, “Most people fail to set goals, because they do not know.” Today we are living beyond the information age where we are bombarded with information. So, it is easier to access this kind of information. Probably, the flip side of it is it has made these things complicated. However…

Take action for your dream

There are several traits which take to be successful in life. You need to have dreams and goals. You need to have a plan to achieve those goals. There are people who have a positive attitude, positive thinking, a burning desire, clarity of goals, and the entire essential ingredients required to be successful in life. However, they are not where they want to be and doing what they should be doing.  Then what is that mission link? The missing link is the effort. The effort made on a consistent basis.
Jim Rohn, a famous motivation speaker and author, says “Affirmation without discipline is an illusion.”
If you have everything but you do not have self-discipline, your dreams and goals will go away from you. This lack of action will not produce the desired result, resulting in discouragement and depletion of self-confidence.
