Be aware of your dreams and Goals

Hi, my name is Kumar. I am working on a mission to help people realize their true potential and live their dream life.
Yesterday, I was with a group of 5 young executives, who was working for the last 5 years in one of the reputed banks of this country. I asked them, “Do you know what the difference between dreams and goals is?” Surprisingly, they answered in negative. They are among the top 10 per cent of the population when it comes to earning. I know they are hardworking and bright and in a couple of years, they will be handling important assignments like in-charge of the branch. So, I was expecting them to know regarding dreams and goals. But when they could not answer, I remember what Brain Tracy once said, “Most people fail to set goals, because they do not know.”
Today we are living beyond the information age where we are bombarded with information. So, it is easier to access this kind of information. Probably, the flip side of it is it has made these things complicated. However, the goals setting and achievement is simple.
Any way my discussion with the young executives proceeded further and I asked another the question, “what are your dreams, you tell me you 5 most important dreams.”
“I want money.” Said One of them.
“How much and why do you want money.” I continued.
“I have never thought about how much, but I want to live a free life.” He said.
“You are in a Bank, and that means you want to be free from your job.”
“O, I am a little confused.” He admitted that he was no clarity about his dreams.
Then I told them, “When you make a timeline for your dreams it becomes your goals.”
Then our next topic of discussion was about books. I asked, “Look, you all have been working in the bank for the last 5 years. Apart from banking subject, have you read any book after you came to a job?”
Out of those 5 young and bright executives only one of them read books after they joined their job.
Isn’t it a valid reason why so many people fail to succeed in life? Of course, it is.
Every day we feed ourselves to take care of our body. What about the mind. Why don’t we feed our mind? Does not our mind need food? Food for thought. How can we feed our mind? I think reading is the best way. Is it so difficult to read? I do not think so. It’s a matter of priority only. The average hour they spend watching television is not less than 20 hours a week.
These are simple things which many of the people are unaware of. And this makes my goal stronger-goal to help people realize their true potential and live their dream life.
Let us dream together and make them real. Do not be afraid of dreams. It does not hurt. We must be aware of our dreams and we must talk about it.
I am here to listen to your dreams. You can share your dreams with me.
Keep growing.

Have Single-Minded devotion To Your Goal

To succeed in your mission, you must have single-minded devotion to your goals.                                                                                                A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
Once you are clear about your dream, you can make it your goal.
How can you make your dream your goal?
When it comes to goal setting, it should be divided into short term goals and long term goals. There is no such categorization which goals can be short term goals and which can be long term goals. You can keep those goals under short term which can be achieved in one year. Long term goals are your dreams. The goals that you want to achieve 2 years down the line or 5 years, 10 years or 20 years down the line. Goals like owning a beautiful house with beautiful garden having swimming pool, at calm or serene place, plenty of space to play with children and spouse, owning fleet of luxurious cars, owning stud farms, exotic vacation, optimum health, financial freedom, time to pursue recreation activiti…

Make monthly resolutions as you make yearly rsolutions

Like many people, I love making new resolutions. Today is the first day of a new month. Isn’t it exciting to make a new resolution for a month? But when I first thought of a monthly resolution my mind rejected it. One month, only one month what could i achieve in one month. I set a goal of losing weight of 10-12 pounds, year after year without ever achieving it. How is it possible to do it in one month? My dream list includes the purchase of a new home, a new car; it includes exotic vacations with my family. My dream list also includes substantial built of a portfolio in paper assets; it also includes completing my first book. It also includes running ultra-marathon. There are career-related dreams. All these long term dreams would take at least many months together if not years, hence it does not count a month. This was my thinking earlier but now, when I set daily goals, a month provides me with an opportunity to 30 times more than my daily time available to work on my dreams. There…
