Why writing of goal is essential?

Hi, my name is Kumar. I have been a student of success principles and how it can be applied to live a happy, wealthy and prosperous life. My mentors helped me to realize my potential and live my dream life. Now, it is my turn to give back. It is my mission to help people recognize and realize their potential and live their dream life.
Today I would like to say something about how the setting of goals can be a useful tool to realize your goals. It is a proven fact goal setting is an important step in the goal achievement process. And this is a no secret. This information is available to everyone.
Everyone is unique in his or her own way. Everyone has potential to do what he or she wants to do and achieve what he or she wants.
Then a question comes, ‘Why a majority of people do not get what they want and achieve their goals in life?’
I believe in simplicity. The answer to the above question is simple. But what is simple may not necessarily be easy.
I read hundreds of books and research paper on this subject. One important principal suggested in these books and research papers is simple. You must have WRITTEN GOALS.

‘Is it very difficult to write your goals?’

I do not think so. Today I am saying this but I made this mistake of not writing goals initially. But later on I started writing goals but I would write on a piece of paper, or in some rough notebook. This piece of paper would go under the bed or inside freeze pocket or notebook would be lost in the piles of books and other notebooks. When I would read some article or book on goal setting, I would be fired up and I would write again on a piece of paper. It did not work.
But I did not quit. One day I bought a colourful chart paper cut into different sizes and wrote my goals as if I have already achieved it. I pasted it in my bedroom where I was able to see it every day. I also wrote it in my journal now I keep a journal instead of rough notebook-and read it every day in the morning and before going to bed. It worked for me. Now, I apply it to achieve my new goals and it works. I do believe it will work for you too.
Therefore, if you have clarity about what you want then the first thing you need to do is to write it and visit it every day.
Is writing goals, pasting on a wall, writing in journal and visiting it every day sufficient to achieve the goal?
No, it alone will not bring the result It will prompt you to take action. It will not let you sit.
Writing your goals will switch on all other devices essential for the achievement of goals. This is simple and powerful.

Have Single-Minded devotion To Your Goal

To succeed in your mission, you must have single-minded devotion to your goals.                                                                                                A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
Once you are clear about your dream, you can make it your goal.
How can you make your dream your goal?
When it comes to goal setting, it should be divided into short term goals and long term goals. There is no such categorization which goals can be short term goals and which can be long term goals. You can keep those goals under short term which can be achieved in one year. Long term goals are your dreams. The goals that you want to achieve 2 years down the line or 5 years, 10 years or 20 years down the line. Goals like owning a beautiful house with beautiful garden having swimming pool, at calm or serene place, plenty of space to play with children and spouse, owning fleet of luxurious cars, owning stud farms, exotic vacation, optimum health, financial freedom, time to pursue recreation activiti…

Be aware of your dreams and Goals

Hi, my name is Kumar. I am working on a mission to help people realize their true potential and live their dream life. Yesterday, I was with a group of 5 young executives, who was working for the last 5 years in one of the reputed banks of this country. I asked them, “Do you know what the difference between dreams and goals is?” Surprisingly, they answered in negative. They are among the top 10 per cent of the population when it comes to earning. I know they are hardworking and bright and in a couple of years, they will be handling important assignments like in-charge of the branch. So, I was expecting them to know regarding dreams and goals. But when they could not answer, I remember what Brain Tracy once said, “Most people fail to set goals, because they do not know.” Today we are living beyond the information age where we are bombarded with information. So, it is easier to access this kind of information. Probably, the flip side of it is it has made these things complicated. However…

Take action for your dream

There are several traits which take to be successful in life. You need to have dreams and goals. You need to have a plan to achieve those goals. There are people who have a positive attitude, positive thinking, a burning desire, clarity of goals, and the entire essential ingredients required to be successful in life. However, they are not where they want to be and doing what they should be doing.  Then what is that mission link? The missing link is the effort. The effort made on a consistent basis.
Jim Rohn, a famous motivation speaker and author, says “Affirmation without discipline is an illusion.”
If you have everything but you do not have self-discipline, your dreams and goals will go away from you. This lack of action will not produce the desired result, resulting in discouragement and depletion of self-confidence.
